    Comstock Park

    Hugging the Grand River as it travels north out of Grand Rapids, Comstock Park was a major transportation hub in the 1850s, serving both the Grand Rapids Indiana Railroad and Chicago & Western Indiana Railroad. Today, it is best known as the site of Fifth Third Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps baseball team.  

    Where to Eat in Comstock Park

    Nick Fink’s, the oldest bar in Michigan, offers classic tavern favorites like a Monster Burrito. Mill Creek Tavern serves burgers, sandwiches and pub grub in a cozy, vintage setting. Vitale’s Pizza and Sports Bar is a local chain restaurant offering an array of casual bar eats and craft beers.  

    What to Do in Comstock Park

    Play mini golf and laser tag, ride go-karts and bumper boats, and step into the batting cage or arcade at AJ’s Family Fun Center.

    Watch the West Michigan Whitecaps, a Class A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, battle their Midwest League opponents at Fifth Third Ballpark.

    Check out the Mill Creek Water Wheel in Dwight Lydell Park – it commemorates two of the area’s first businesses, a sawmill and a grist mill.
